Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of StartupMap India ("the platform"), operated by Varak Welfare Society. By accessing the platform, submitting a listing, or purchasing any service through it, you agree to these Terms.
1. About the platform
StartupMap India provides a directory for discovering startups and VC funds across Indian cities, plus optional paid services (Featured Listing, ad slots) described on our Services page.
2. Eligibility and accuracy
You must provide accurate information when submitting a listing, purchasing a service, or contacting us, and must have appropriate authorization to act on behalf of the company/fund you submit.
3. Listings and moderation
You are responsible for ensuring submitted information is accurate, current, lawful, and doesn't infringe others' rights. Every listing is reviewed before publication; submission or payment does not guarantee publication.
4. Prohibited content
You must not submit content that:
- Is unlawful, fraudulent, or misleading
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Impersonates another person or organization
- Contains false business information
- Otherwise violates applicable laws or regulations
5. Paid services
Featured Listing and ad slot bookings require payment, with the price shown before payment. Payment confirms your request for that service but does not override our eligibility, content, or review requirements — see Cancellation & Refund Policy for what happens if a paid service is rejected.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment service provider, Razorpay. Review the applicable service description and policies before completing payment.
7. Intellectual property
StartupMap India's branding, design, and software are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You retain rights to content you submit but grant us permission to display it as part of the requested service.
8. Availability
We aim to keep StartupMap India available but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation — maintenance, technical issues, or third-party service interruptions may temporarily affect it.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Varak Welfare Society and StartupMap India are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the platform. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; changes will be published on this page.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in India.
